Silkworm were a band from Missoula, Montana, then later Seattle, Washington and finally Chicago, Illinois. They began as a quartet but became a trio upon the departure of Joel R.L. Phelps in 1994. The group existed from 1987-2005 and released albums for C/Z, Matador and Touch & Go.
